Review – The Hunger Games – Mockingjay Part 2

★★☆☆☆ Mockingjay part 2 was a real let down. I totally wish the studio would have put parts 1 and 2 together, cutting roughly 2/3 of each out. That could deliver one good movie. Instead the studio chose to abuse the box office. They split what should have been one…

Review – The Hunger Games – Mockingjay Part 1

★★☆☆☆ Does anybody else feel completely ripped off with Mockingjay Part 1?  I really should say “half a movie” because that is all it was.  We have far too many MBAs in this country.  All of them seem to be trying to sell people a great big nothing.  Instead of…

Betsy Devos Likes Criminal Fraud

Hers is certainly not a household name, unless your household happens to be one of the millions scammed by for-profit “institutions” which exist solely to funnel student loans and government grants directly into the owners pockets. Now she has rescinded the Obama-era rule which was designed to protect parents and…

Review – The Librarian: Quest for the Spear

★★★★★ Whenever I’m away from home on contract for months on end, I seem to get lucky and during at least one of my weekends off, TNT will run the original trilogy for “The Librarian.” No, this trilogy hasn’t yet made it into the soon to be overflowing China hutch…

Review – The Hunting Party

★★★★★ The Hunting Party is probably the best movie you’ve never heard of. It appears Richard Gere has been making Indie type films which go straight to DVD. Thanks to my monthly rental subscription I’m actually watching a lot more Indie movies. The Hunting Party is yet another true story…
