Yet Another Endless War for Oil

oil war

Trump is an imbecile. He got us into yet another endless war for oil and did it at a time when there is a glut of oil on the market. He was willing to capture oil tankers out of Venezuela but not to capture the Russian Shadow Fleet.

Today it is clear Trump is once again self-dealing. It is also obvious why he had the U.S. military capture the dictator of Venezuela, Trump wanted a cut the dictator wouldn’t pay. Trump certainly didn’t make anything better in Venezuela by leaving the rest of the organized crime family in charge, but now he gets a cut.

Is anybody outside of Trump’s corrupt administration monitoring the money being transferred out of Qatar. There is no way Trump and his friends will be able to resist taking a cut. I fully expect one of his “Venezuelan Improvement” projects to be Trump Tower Venezuela paid for by the oil sales and built by his company.

Iran

A war for oil comes in many flavors. The leaders of Belgium and France obviously have more balls than Trump can even fantasize about. They are doing the one non-combat thing that really could bring Russia down, seizing Putin’s Shadow Fleet oil tankers and taking the oil. This is Putin’s main funding source for the war. Without it his credit will be exhausted globally.

Self-dealing Venezuelan oil made little sense given a nearly four billion barrel per day crude oil glut. Why a glut you ask? Cheap Russian oil. China and India aren’t buying on the open market. Both countries have been guzzling Russian crude at prices well below market. India says it will stop. Yeah, right.

The only way for Trump to turn a profit from Venezuela for his friend that owns Chevron, as well as himself and his family is for a massive jump in price. War in the Middle East will do it.

War for Oil 2.0

Ordinarily when America fights a war for oil we fight a war to get oil. Oh, we say “protect American interests” but it is really to protect American oil companies and keep cheap crude flowing. Crude isn’t cheap anymore, well, not to get. Break even per barrel price is near $70/barrel. Trump’s dumb-ass claim of $50/barrel will cause a global depression. Not recession, depression. I will cover that in another post, but, basically, all exploration stops. Maintenance for existing wells stops. There are massive layoffs in the oil patches and that dominos back to everything like steel (drill pipe) to automobiles. Neither the oil companies nor the unemployed buy new vehicles. Farmers stopped buying new everything thanks to little tariff boy tanking the global export market.

The war in Iran is about stopping oil.

The Straight of Hormuz is effectively closed. Iran doesn’t have the military might to stop shipping but the terrorist nutters in the area will launch rockets at all kinds of ships. Insurance companies won’t issue policies on tankers wanting to go through that straight. Everyone who buys oil that normally ships via the Straight of Hormuz now has to buy oil elsewhere. There are no viable shipping alternatives.

Hello Trump branded oil from Venezuela.

This is the pinnacle of corruption. An even taller peak than the fraudulent Board of Peace.
