When it comes to a $10 million campaign contribution made by Egypt to Donald Trumps 2016 campaign you have to follow real journalists to know anything about it. Thankfully I subscribe to The Week magazine. Sadly, most of my magazine reading is confined to the bathroom so I’m always several issues behind. Rafi Schwartz did an excellent job in his article on this matter. You can bet Fox News wouldn’t have the ethics or integrity to cover this story.

For those who won’t read the entire article.

Trump sent his 2016 campaign $10 million to much fanfare. It was spun as putting his own money into the campaign trying to further sell the lie of being a self-made man.

At the heart of these separate allegations are a series of suspicious transactions at Cairo’s state-run National Bank of Egypt. There, just days before Trump took the oath of office in 2017, some $10 million USD was withdrawn from an account associated with Egypt’s national security apparatus . . . The move, which corresponded with a CIA inquiry into claims that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has sought ways to bolster and align himself with Trump’s candidacy, accelerated an ongoing Justice Department investigation into this vector of potential foreign influence peddling

Why this matters

Yes, I’ve written about Trump going to prison before. There is little doubt he will go there. Robert Menendez is going to prison for just a few gold bars (after trying to throw his wife under the bus). Eric Adams is going to go to prison for taking bribes from is patron country, Turkey. He can spout weaponizing the Justice Department all he wants, too many of his staff have bailed.

Trump doesn’t have just a single country bribing him. The CIA inquiry and Justice Department investigation that Bill Barr quashed was the most direct bribe. The dude pulled cash out and the only way to get that into Trump’s bank accounts was to launder it. At best it is money laundering and blatant violation of federal campaign finance laws. More directly it is treason. Either way Barr is an accessory after the fact in the opinion of this tax paying citizen.

What did Egypt purchase? – My Favorite Dictator!

$195 million in military aid was just the start. One could almost say the $10 million campaign contribution was “just a kick-back.” (see movie below) That was followed by another $169 million in arms sales on his way out the door.

One has to wonder just how much Saudi Arabia paid him to completely ignore the murder of Jamal Khashoggi? Not just ignore, spin conspiracy theories.

Mob money laundering 101

The classic mob bribe technique was to have someone purchase a property they were told to purchase using a bank controlled by the mob. A short time later the mob would have someone purchase the property for a massive increase in price. You have to watch a lot of black and white movies like this one to understand the New York state of mind.

Also in 2008 Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev purchase a Palm Beach estate from Trump for $95 million, just four years after Trump paid $41 million for it. That same year Donald Trump Jr. stated

“Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets.” “We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia,” he added.

This is bribery and money laundering on steroids. Apparently the CIA and FBI don’t watch old black and white mob movies. I wish I could remember the name of the one that actually discussed this in the dialogue. A loan from a mob back that the person never made payments on, then a sale for massive profit.

It is also done with art now. Especially art auctioned by the container. You get told what container to bid on, purchase it for next to nothing, few months/years later you auction it off without even opening it to verify contents for millions in profits.

Merrick B. Garland

The fact Merrick B. Garland didn’t re-open this investigation is unforgivable. There had to be a record of it. The government always creates a paper trail. The CIA had to have informed someone in the Justice Department about Barr killing this investigation into campaign finance law violations, foreign influence in a Presidential election, money laundering, and treason. The CIA is tasked with not letting such things lie and the FBI should have damned well picked up the baton.
