Seriously? This wasn’t already tried?
Ibuprofen being tested as treatment for COVID-19.
I mean, isn’t that one of the over the counter things most people try when they get a flu like sickness? I mean, first you try aspirin, then you try Tylenol, then you try Ibuprofen. It’s all over the counter.
If your illness is causing chest congestion or sinus problems you grease up your chest with Vicks BapoRub. (Oddly enough it also is highly effective on toenail fungus). Nobody really knows why VapoRub seems to work. If you are willing to endure it greasing up your sheets and ruining a T-shirt, it does seem to help clear your sinuses and loosen chest congestion brought on by cold or flu.
I’m going to be soooo pissed if it turns out Ibuprofen and greasing up with Vicks is the effective solution against COVID-19. Didn’t any of these people have a grandmother? Everyone I know had a grandmother that greased them up with that stuff and made them take aspirin/Tylenol/Ibuprofen whichever they happened to have, whenever it seemed like they were coming down with a cold or the flu.
Is that what really bitch slapped SARS the first time? Back then everybody listened to their grandmother and now everybody ignores the old-world remedies. Now I’m wondering if any of them tried chicken soup when they started feeling bad?
These old world stand-byes exist for a reason. They kept a lot of people from getting worse.
