Project Meddle is the most shocking video people have never seen. Honestly, it wasn’t until Saturday, December 21, 2024 that I had even heard about it. Every person in the world needs to watch it.

Twice now in my roughly 40 year IT career I’ve worked for advertising agencies. If you have a Windows computer you are used to constantly being spammed with advertising. It’s impossible to use Google without being spammed. So, it shouldn’t surprise you that the advertising world uses a lot of IT people now. Given I’ve written about advertising before on this blog the fact I’ve worked for at least one ad agency shouldn’t shock you.
During my stints in this world I discovered Under the Influence with Terry O’Reilly. I probably discovered him earlier but didn’t really pay attention. If you search around for NPR stations you will find quite a few of them have the show on their schedule. WBEZ has him on Saturday mornings at 6:30. Most of the shows talk about what has occurred in advertising history so in both the blogging and marketing world the show is “Evergreen Content.” What you will also find is that most NPR stations are running episodes from years ago and they are just as interesting today.

This video, anonymously submitted for an advertising award, is a shining testimony of how Bill Clinton and the tech moguls f*cked the world racing to create a “Global Village” without first creating a “Global Village Council.”
