When I was diagnosed with cancer at 36, I wasn’t looking for inspiration. I was looking for answers.
\nThe problem was that many of the questions I had could not be answered by medicine alone. How do I continue living my life on my own terms <\/B> while facing uncertainty? How do I remain myself when cancer threatens to take over everything? What do I need to know?
\nThose questions led me to write my first book, I Have Breast Cancer \u2013 What Now?, with the hope of helping others navigate some of the challenges I had faced myself. But the questions did not stop there. They continued to evolve, pushing me to explore the emotional and psychological dimensions of the cancer experience more deeply.
\nThat journey led me to become a professional coach, complete a PhD exploring <\/B> how coaching can support and empower people living with cancer, and eventually write Navigate Cancer \u2013 Coaching for Resilience.
\nMy cancer diagnosis became the catalyst for a much larger journey of learning, discovery, and purpose. What started as a deeply personal experience gradually became a calling: to help people reconnect with themselves, reclaim their agency, and navigate life’s most difficult challenges on their own terms.
\nIn many ways, my writing has never been about cancer. It has always been about people. About our capacity to choose, adapt, grow, and find meaning even in the most unexpected circumstances.
\nThat is the inspiration behind everything I write.

Teresa Ferreiro-Vilari\u00f1o <\/b>is the Founder and CEO of Kimberlite<\/b>
\n (https:\/\/www.kimberlite.es<\/a>), an innovative organisation dedicated to providing
\n comprehensive support to people navigating cancer\u2014particularly within
\n corporate settings\u2014through professional coaching. A Master Certified
\n Coach (MCC) accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF)<\/b>, Teresa
\n brings more than 20 years of experience working with leaders and organisations
\n worldwide.<\/b><\/div>\n<\/p>\n

\n At the age of 36, a breast cancer diagnosis<\/b> marked a turning point in her
\n life, redirecting her focus toward empowering people living with cancer<\/b>. In
\n the years that followed, she authored her first book, I Have Breast
\n Cancer\u2013What Now?<\/i>, recognised for its inspirational and practical
\n guidance, embraced motherhood, and founded a charitable initiative supporting
\n young women navigating motherhood after cancer<\/b>. She later earned a PhD focused
\n on applying professional coaching methodologies to the specific needs of
\n people facing serious health challenges<\/b>. In recognition of her commitment to
\n patient advocacy, she was honoured with the European Patient Champion Award<\/b> by
\n EyeforPharma in 2019.<\/p>\n

\n Teresa is also an executive coach and coaches across multiple programs at IMD
\n Business School <\/b>in Lausanne, Switzerland, including the flagship
\n High-Performance Leadership (HPL) Program<\/b>, supporting leaders in developing
\n resilience, clarity, and sustainable performance.\n<\/p>\n
