Shakes the Clown<\/em> happened to be on a list somewhere.\u00a0 Some men\u2019s magazine posted a list of 100 or so movies they thought every guy should have seen in their life already. Guess I\u2019m not doing bad because I had seen over half of them. I am deeply saddened to admit now that I saw Shakes the Clown<\/em>. I really have to question that list!<\/p>\n

Shakes the Clown<\/em> is what happens when someone with a little bit of money finds a group of young actors who have been out of work so long they can\u2019t pay rent unless they take the job.\u00a0 It has its moments.\u00a0 Probably the most fun you will have is listening to the voices and trying to figure out who it is underneath all of the makeup.<\/p>\n

Who should watch this movie? Anyone who is:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    \n
  1. Kathy Griffin<\/a> fan<\/li>\n
  2. Ben Stiller<\/a> fan<\/li>\n
  3. Robin Williams<\/a> fan (who isn’t?)<\/li>\n
  4. a struggling actor<\/li>\n
  5. someone who thinks they are a fan of one of the other familiar faces in the movie.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Word of warning:<\/b> After watching this movie you may end up with a serious urge to kick the sh*t out of a mime.I’m not going to bother trying to explain the plot or story line. Just tell you to open a restaurant sized bottle of wine and start drinking before the movie starts. The closer you get to the bottom of the bottle the more you may like the movie.<\/p>\n

    Personally I understand why this movie is on that list of 100 movies every guy should see. It’s a warning. Don’t become an actor desperate enough to work in a movie like this!<\/p>\n
