Illinois has a long history of putting elected officials in prison. Our current governor should not be an exception to the rule. Since it is obvious the States Attorney’s office will not bother to put our current governor in prison for mail fraud, nor even threaten to prosecute everyone else engaging in it, and the FBI is too busy trying to put the head of the Clinton Organized Crime Family in the White House via a needless Russia probe, our (the tax payer being victimized by all of this) last best hope is the U.S. Postal Inspector.
This era of manufacturing “facts” for sound bites has got to stop. The only way it’s going to stop is if we start putting politicians in prison for it. Mail fraud is mail fraud. Whether you are sending out hundreds of thousands of mailers with completely manufactured “facts” to sway a primary, or duping some little old lady out of her life savings, it’s all the same.
I gotta admit, when even Scott Reeder called him out on it, there should have been criminal charges filed within the hour. I’ve never had respect or trust for Mr. Reeder. Personally, I put him in the same basket of Republican propaganda shills as the bulk of the Kankakee Daily Journal Tabloid. Seems to be most everyone from both sides is pointing out the complete fabrication of that mailing, so why isn’t Rauner on an express ride to prison? Can the U.S. Postal Inspector finally get around to cleaning up our elections?
