The flip and stick phone counter culture has won out.
It has been a counter culture movement for quite some time. Humans who didn’t want to die while driving, walking, or a heart attack caused by working 24×7 never having a life. Services catering to seniors like Consumer Cellular and Jitterbug are growing. Even Samsung has read the writing on the wall. They’ve introduced Galaxy Folder 2 but are trying to get idiot phone prices for it.
Old people, geeks, and those who generally just want to have a life where Google and Apple don’t record every nanosecond of their day are ditching those short life idiot phones in droves. Hey, who doesn’t love a good exploding smart phone story? You just love it when the thing kills someone else. Let’s not forget smartphones are now more dangerous than drunk driving with a body count to prove it.
